Who are we?

The HBP Group specialise in providing MRP systems which help manufacturers increase efficiency, reduce downtime and give them the time to focus on running their own business.

Our organisation consists of two businesses; HBP Systems Ltd and Kamarin Computers Ltd. HBP are based in Lincolnshire and Kamarin are based in Cambridgeshire. Between us we cover the vast majority of the UK and work under the The HBP Group name to provide a seamless service between our northern and southern offices.

During your communication with us you may deal with some of our fantastic people from both HBP and Kamarin and you will receive the high levels of support and guidance you’d expect from a national provider, but the care and attention you’d need from a local provider.

Where are we based?

Our head offices is based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, a town known for it’s history and tradition of manufacturing with the steel works a key part of the local economy. It fact, we can see the steel works from our windows!

Our southern office is based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, and between our two offices cover the whole of the UK.

Although our physical locations are important, with online project management tools we can manage, install, train and support all of our MRP solutions remotely so it doesn’t matter where you’re based, we can help!

All of our software consultants have decades of experience in the industry, so they understand exactly what is needed to meet your needs.

Seamless Handover Processes

As your project moves through our business we’ll assign you a dedicated project manager who will work with the software consultant, our engineers and anyone at your business to organise and schedule all work required, including any third party work needed. You’ll be kept up to date at every stage so you understand all of the timescales related to your project.

Our Internal Software Support Systems

Because we document every step of your process it means that our internal systems are constantly updated with information about your project. This means that once the implementation phase is complete, our support team have full visibility of the work completed ready to help you out with anything needed in the future.

Strong Relationships

We believe that strong relationships are built by connecting with multiple people in your business and we do that by ensuring our management team check up with you at key stages of your project, ensuring that you happy with the progress. We share direct contact details for all key members of staff, including managers and directors, so you can always get hold of someone if you need them.

Highly Accredited Engineers

The quality of your Advanced Business Cloud Essentials implementation is directly related to the technical ability of our staff, which is why, as an absolute minimum, every one of our support consultants is qualified in Advanced Business Cloud, is AAT accredited and has been trained in Prince 2 and Agile project methodology, meaning they understand both business accounting and business fundamentals.

A Personal Service

To ensure that you have a dedicated point of contact within The HBP Group, we assign you an Account Manager who oversees our support contracts with you. All of our account managers have a huge amount of experience in the software industry and will provide regular updates, statistics and reviews of our performance, your account manager will also help you with anything else you need from us

Our Story

Before joining forces as the The HBP Group in 2005, HBP Systems and Kamarin Computers began their journeys as software resellers in 1991 and 1981 respectively.

As two of the fastest growing software consultants in the UK, HBP and Kamarin provided accounting software that computerised the finance function of thousands of businesses throughout the 1990s. As the businesses grew, well-known software solutions from Pegasus, Advanced and Sage were complimented by a complete range of IT solutions which enabled us to help businesses with their entire IT and software requirements.

When The HBP Group was formed in 2005, we were able to use our combined knowledge to offer software solutions across the UK.

Today, we help thousands of businesses each year with software and IT solutions, including our MRP solutions, Advanced Business Cloud Essentials which provides a cloud-based and affordable solutions to manufacturers of all sizes.

In 2019 we were awarded the Advanced Business Partner of the Year and were named an Advanced Ultimate Partner, recognising the work we had one with manufacturers and Advanced Business Cloud Essentials.
